This site is intended as a repository of useful information, some articles for SEO purposes for external sites, to act as a portfolio and a general site for playing around online with a server/database.
The site was developed in Django using the "Landkit" Bootstrap 5 template. The backend is an Ubuntu box on Hertzner with Postgres as the databsase and in-memory caching.
I use docker to ease development and deployment. Nginx is used as a reverse-proxy and links to Gunicorn that serves the Django app.
Why the Fear-Noughts?
The Fear-noughts were one of the earliest recorded football teams. Given that the first site I coded was futstats.net I thought a football related name for the blog would be appropriate.
