Top Bet Trackers

Review of bet tracking tools

I have been known in my time, to have a little flutter here and there. I started out a few years ago with matched betting, moved on to trading (was hopeless) and have recently started looking to do value betting. I still like to have an Acca or two a week where I can find value through offers.

This article discusses my experiences of using a bet tracker to log my bets.

Google Sheets

I actually started logging bets in the online tool provided via the OddsMonkey website which was quick, easy and is integrated in to their site. It did not quite work for everything I wanted thought so I ended up with a variety of Google Sheets: for normal bets; ACCA's; Golf; and Horse Racing. I then had a separate sheet for tracking balances periodically in my accounts.

This sounds like a faff - and it was - although it wasn't perhaps as bad as it sounds. So basically it's not a bad approach - especially as a lot of online tools end up costing quite a bit. I did find myself wasting quite a lot of time on them though.

I eventually also stopped my subscription to OddsMonkey as it was just too much money per month for the amount of bets I was doing and what I could reasonably get back given that bookies seem to be tightening their belts a lot recently.

Futstats.net

futstats.net is a bit of a newcomer to the field and I've just signed up to a free trial for a month (just mail them and they will set you up). Still early for me to fully judge but this looks like a pretty decent option.

It's got a nice tracker available quickly through the sidebar on the site and allows for logging of ACCA's, Singles and Each-Way bets. You can log both back and lay bets. It also allows for multiple accounts should the need arise.

The dashboarding is a little limited, although they indicate that this is an area that will be improved over time. One of the best features for me at present, while I'm looking at value betting, is the auto-settlement feature for football matches. This should save a hell of a lot of time.

The nice and standout part of this site is that it is both a stats site plus bet tracker whereas most sites are just one or the other. This is what made me look at this option first.

Anyway, early days and will update this further as I play with the site. Looking good so far though. Oh and I forgot to mention is only 3 usd per month which I think is good value.

StakeToys.com

Staketoys is a nice site and has been around for a while. You can sign up and start to use the site immediately with limited functionality. It's possible to log singles and multiples although the latter is limited in functionality. Full subs also come in at 3usd per month.

It's an out and out bet tracking site although they have recently updated the site and so it now also provides odds for upcoming matches. The site has a nice clean layout and what looks like a pretty good reporting functionality.

Others

To be honest I've not really found that many alternatives. There seems to be many out there but all seem either too basic, too complex or too expensive. Proper Goldilocks happening. Anyway, the two above are the best I've found so far.
